Poly-Linguo is a language learning game about being lost in a world where everybody speak the language you want to learn. Right know, only French and English are available but I plan to add a lot more language.
The people from this world will help you to learn a new language, they will give you quests to do and train you by also giving you quiz. You can ask them a lot of questions to learn stuff about them and the world you’re lost in.
GET THE DEMO
The game has a city, houses, a shop, an office, a forest and a farm to explore but the demo is the beginning of the game. You will start in the forest. You will have 5 quests to do and the 5 NPCs that give you a quest will also give you a quiz after. You can ask them a new question for each quest completed. Click on a word to translate it. Click on an object to get its name in the language you want to learn.

How does it work?
Explore the world
A City, a forest, several houses, an office and a farm to explore.
Complete quests
Most of the NPCs will give you quest with a theme that will help you learn some vocabulary and grammar.
Pass quizz
The NPCs will give you ten questions to train yourself in the language you want to learn.
Translate sentences or just one word
Click on a button to translate the sentence. Or click on a word to translate only this word.
Click on object
And get the translation of this object. Create vocabulary lists and study them while exploring.
Learn about the NPCs and the world
For each quest completed, you learn a new question to ask NPCs, learn about them at the same time you learn your new language.
Learning a language by playing
This is how I learned english. I really wanted to play Disgaea (such a good game) but I could only speak french. Disgaea was a little bit too complicated so I started with Luminous Arc. I took a dictionary with me, and for each word I didn’t get. I looked in the dictionary. Little by little I understood what the characters were saying, and that’s how I learn english. It’s my favorite way.
About me
4 years ago, for my 30th birthday, I decided I wanted to change my career and started learning how to program. I started by creating websites and other small projects and now I have a new job in this field.
I really like the idea of learning new languages but I couldn’t find the right tools. So I decided to create a video game with a world to explore. After all, it was while playing video games that I learned English.
With this project, I want to give as many people as possible the opportunity to learn a new language. There is still work to be done, but I hope you will already enjoy this demo.
